Neil Kelly is Chairman of MHNE and its training lead. He is a highly qualified and experienced trainer and college lecturer who has worked for over 30 years teaching and organising a wide range of programmes for adults and young people. As a manager in Further Education he was responsible for providing programmes and support for learners with learning difficulties and disabilities including those with mental health issues. He also worked for the national adult education organisation NIACE, as its North East mental health officer

Lyn Boyd is Chief Executive of Mental Health North East. Lyn joined MHNE during its formation in September 2005 following a career working in the fields of disability, social enterprise, social care, health, adult learning, community regeneration and capacity building. She has organised a wide range of innovative training sessions on a wide variety of subject areas and has also devised large scale programme of study. Lyn has lived experience of mental ill health as a carer and successfully completed National MIND'S training the trainers programme - Business Boosters. Her work has attracted national recognition.

Dawn Hodgson is a highly experienced trainer. Over the past 25+ years she has successfully delivered high quality programmes, initiatives and projects in a variety of settings, to and commissioned by: Awarding Organisations, Businesses, Charities, Communities (of interest/geography), Drug and Alcohol Recovery Services, The Government, Prison and Trade Union Education.
